Who handles your data

The desk responsible for personal data on this site is Drift Investment Insights Enterprise, a sole proprietorship registered in Taipei. Its business number (統一編號) is 59031269, and the person responsible (負責人) is Tsai Ya-Ting. Postal address: No. 66, Songren Rd., Xinyi Dist., Taipei City. You can reach the desk by phone at +886 2 2724 7196 or by email via info@drift-circuit.digital. The applicable framework is Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA, 個人資料保護法); it is the law we act under wherever you write from.

What we collect — read this before using the form

Inquiry messages. When you press send on the inquiry form, that action collects the fields you typed: your name, your email address, an optional phone number, the topic label you picked, and your message text. The specific purpose of collection under the PDPA is correspondence with readers — answering questions about the essays, handling corrections, and processing republication requests. Nothing more is collected, because nothing more is needed to reply.

What never happens here. This site runs no analytics and no advertising pixels, embeds no third-party trackers, and sends none of your visit data to third parties. That statement describes the implementation itself, not an intention: the built pages make no external requests once loaded, so there is nothing on which a tracker could ride.

The single item stored on your device — the banner preference described on the cookies page — never leaves that device, never transmits to us, and stays invisible to the desk.

Where an inquiry goes

The form posts its JSON payload to /api/inquiry, a handler running on this site’s own domain and infrastructure. From there it reaches the editorial inbox for this project, where a person reads it and replies. Your message is not routed through marketing automation platforms or customer-relationship tools, and its contents are not copied into any list of correspondents, because no such list exists.

How long we keep data

Correspondence is kept while the exchange is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards — a maximum of twelve months past the last message, unless retention is required by law, after which it is deleted. We keep no newsletters, maintain no mailing lists, and never repurpose an inquiry email address for outreach of any kind.

Routine infrastructure logs (technical access records that hosting systems keep for security) sit outside the desk’s control and are rotated by the hosting provider in the ordinary course of operations; we do not read them and cannot use them to identify readers.

Your rights under the PDPA

Taiwan’s data protection law gives you, as a data subject, the right to make the following requests of this desk:

  • Access — confirm whether we hold data about you and receive a copy.
  • Supplement or correction — fix anything inaccurate or out of date.
  • Deletion and discontinued use — ask us to erase your data and stop using it, where the law so provides.
  • Notification — where feasible, know what happened to a request you made.

To exercise any of these, email info@drift-circuit.digital from the address you used, or write to the postal address above. We verify identity by replying to the inquiring address rather than demanding extra documents, answer within a reasonable interval, and charge nothing.

Data we never ask for

Because nothing on this site carries a price, no payment data of any kind passes through it. We ask for no identification numbers beyond an email address, no financial account details, and no sensitive categories of personal data under the PDPA. If a message contains such details unprompted, we keep only what the reply requires.

Children

The series is written for adults and assumes an ordinary working knowledge of markets and statistics. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Transfers beyond Taiwan

Hosting for drift-circuit.digital may involve providers whose infrastructure operates outside Taiwan. Your inquiry data stays with the desk and its hosting arrangement — it is never knowingly transferred to any third party for that party’s own purposes. Should the deployment materially change, this page gets re-reviewed and re-dated.

Changes to this notice

This notice carries the review date shown above it. Material changes appear on this page rather than in a separate log; a changed date is the signal.
